The surface of cast aluminum has good gloss, and the product will have very good corrosion resistance in water and the atmosphere. Therefore, the product has a very wide range of uses in the manufacture of civilian utensils. Pure aluminum is used in oxidizing acids such as nitric acid and acetic acid. The medium also has good corrosion resistance.
Cast aluminum also has certain uses in the chemical industry. Aluminum alloys and pure aluminum have good thermal conductivity in the process of use. They are placed on heat exchange devices used in chemical production and parts that require good thermal conductivity on power machinery.
Aluminum alloys have very good casting properties. Because the melting point is relatively low during the use process, the casting temperature of the product is generally about 750 degrees. Therefore, casting methods such as metal molds and pressure castings are widely used.
In cast aluminum, due to the large latent heat of solidification of aluminum alloys, under the same weight conditions, the solidification process time of the aluminum liquid is much longer than that of cast steel and cast iron, and the fluidity is good, which is more conducive to the thin wall of the casting and complex castings.
